Hilcia Guerra, is a first-generation graduate from the University of California, Irvine where she received her bachelor’s in Public Health Science. Her interest in public health and policy, coupled with her natural passion for serving the community, has further evolved during her time at KYCC. Hilcia is currently working on a public health campaign to strengthen tobacco retail licensing policies to reduce youth access to flavored tobacco products within Culver City and Los Angeles City. Furthermore, she has been working on developing the Los Angeles Youth First Tobacco Coalition (LAYFTC) to mobilize and empower community members to advocate for healthy tobacco-free communities. Hilcia enjoys traveling, nature, and sports. During her free time she loves to spend time with her family, friends, and her dog Finley.
