Andy Lau
Secretary, LAYFTC & Chair,
Community Engagement Committee
Andy Lau received a Bachelors of Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine. During his education at UCI, he was involved with a non-profit organization called MEMO (Medical, Education, Missions, and Outreach), where he discovered his passion for helping the underserved and advocating for the community. He has helped raise money for heart surgeries and scholarships for children in Vietnam and Laos. He has continued to pursue this passion at KYCC by helping to reduce youth access to flavored tobacco products in LA City through passage of restrictive policies and building a coalition to mobilize the community to take action. Through the Los Angeles Youth First Tobacco Coalition, he hopes that he can help make a difference in the community by reducing tobacco-related deaths and diseases, and ultimately make the community a safer and happier place for everyone. Andy loves all kinds of food and is always googling for delicious and easy recipes to make.
